CCSD Zero Teen Fatalities (ZTF)
ZTF coordination allows CCSDPD to educate our most inexperienced drivers and vulnerable road users through classroom presentations to always buckle up, always drive sober, focus on the road, slow down and keep your cool. Teens only represent five percent of drivers on the road but represent at least 10 percent of the total crashes seen, meaning they are twice as likely to be involved in a fatal traffic event. Teens who receive this training are half as likely to be involved in a crash, 70 percent less likely to drink and drive, two times more likely to wear a seatbelt, and 30 percent less likely to use a cell phone while driving.

Young Drivers - Zero Teen Fatalities
Code Zero - Zero Teen Fatalities
The Code Zero Program helps teenagers understand the consequences that come with traffic-related incidents. The program is an interactive, two-phase program that promotes safe driving practices with hospital-based, on-site learning, and school-based education campaign development.
Driver's Edge
Driver’s Edge is a free half-day program for drivers ages 21 and younger (with a valid license or permit) that teaches real-life emergency avoidance and response techniques and overall driver safety. Taught by true driving professionals through a unique combination of behind-the-wheel and classroom experiences, Edge was specifically developed to address the unacceptably high number of youth-related automobile collisions and fatalities that occur each year.
Cars and Cops Program -Zero Teen Fatalities
This high school event teaches teens about basic automobile maintenance and traffic safety.
The interactive, 45-minute program also explains what to expect during a routine traffic stop with
law enforcement.
B.R.A.K.E.S.
B.R.A.K.E.S. Graduates are approximately 64% less likely to have a car crash in their first three years of driving. The mission is to prevent injuries and save lives by training and educating teenage drivers and their parents about the importance of safe and responsible driving.
