Crisis Response Team

Department Overview

The Crisis Response Team strives to enhance the safe and healthy development of students by working with school teams and families in the timely and effective provision of prevention, assessment, intervention, and crisis response and management, by:

• Conducting threat assessments with students.
• Providing standardized training to district staff on suicide intervention.
• Providing consultative support to schools for suicide ideation assessments
• Assisting schools with normalizing practices after a death (student or staff).
• Offering additional assistance (short-term counseling, reentry planning, etc.)
